Harrington Harbour
Harrington Harbour, QC · Transport Canada · Transport Canada · Gulf of St. Lawrence (Lower North Shore / Côte-Nord)
Harrington Harbour is a remote public port facility owned by Transport Canada (Quebec Region) on an island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence along Quebec's Lower North Shore (Côte-Nord), a road-inaccessible community where marine transportation is the primary mode of access. The site centers on a busy public wharf supporting commercial fishing for crab, lobster, turbot, halibut and cod, with an associated fish plant and fishing cooperative. The wharf also serves regional transportation functions, including connections that service the neighbouring village of Chevery. It is one of Transport Canada's remote/regional Quebec port facilities serving communities along the Lower North Shore (alongside Kegaska, La Romaine, La Tabatière, Tête-à-la-Baleine, Saint-Augustin, Blanc-Sablon and others).
