Kingsville
Kingsville, ON · Transport Canada · Transport Canada · Lake Erie
Kingsville is a Transport Canada public port on the north shore of Lake Erie that serves as the mainland terminal for the seasonal Pelee Island ferry. As of September 19, 2024, all mainland Pelee Island ferry operations were consolidated at the Kingsville port (25 Dock Road), replacing the former Leamington terminal. The service is operated by the Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC), a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario, using the vessels MV Pelee Islander and MV Pelee Islander II to carry passengers, vehicles (cars, motorcycles, bicycles) and recreational freight between the mainland and Pelee Island, with the crossing taking roughly 1 hour 30 minutes. Transport Canada's Ontario Region oversees the federal public port, which is listed among six Ontario public ports.
