NOVA Chemicals Corunna / St. Clair River Site docks

Corunna (St. Clair Township), ON · Private · NOVA Chemicals Corporation · St. Clair River

Private marine docks serving NOVA Chemicals' Sarnia-Lambton petrochemical complex on the St. Clair River in Corunna (St. Clair Township), Ontario. The complex includes the Corunna Site ethylene cracker (capacity ~2.8 billion lb/yr of ethylene plus ~900 million lb of coproducts) which feeds the company's St. Clair River, Moore and Rokeby polyethylene sites; the St. Clair River Site produces approximately 485 million lb/yr of linear low- and high-density polyethylene using Advanced SCLAIRTECH technology. The Courtright Supply Dock on the St. Clair River at Courtright is used as a marine receiving point for heavy/oversized equipment deliveries (e.g., large boilers received by water and then convoyed by road to the plants). NOVA Chemicals has operated in the region for over 35 years and owns and operates the facilities directly.
