Port of Gaspé (Sandy Beach)
Gaspé, QC · Provincial · Government of Quebec · Gaspé Bay / Gulf of St. Lawrence
The Port of Gaspé (Sandy Beach) is a commercial marine terminal located at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in a natural harbour protected by a sandbar at the mouth of Gaspé Bay, on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It handles liquid bulk, dry bulk, general cargo, project/wind turbine components (notably LM Wind Power's 100m+ wind turbine blades), international cruise ships, fishing vessels, government vessels and shipyard operations. The facility offers two berths — Berth #1 (180 m long, up to 13.5 m deep) and Berth #2 (175 m long, up to 11.5 m deep) — providing deepwater access plus roughly 14,547 m² of exterior storage. It is owned by the Government of Quebec and managed by the Société portuaire du Bas-Saint-Laurent et de la Gaspésie (SPBSG) after being transferred from Transport Canada to Quebec in 2020.
