Port of Rimouski

Rimouski, QC · Provincial · Government of Quebec · St. Lawrence River (Lower St. Lawrence estuary)

The Port of Rimouski sits on the St. Lawrence estuary roughly 315 km downstream of Quebec City and serves as a major maritime link between the Lower St. Lawrence, the Gaspésie, the North Shore and the Lower North Shore. It is owned by the Government of Quebec and run by the Société portuaire du Bas-Saint-Laurent et de la Gaspésie (SPBSG) following the 2020 transfer from Transport Canada; the harbourmaster is Yannick Isabelle. The port handles dry bulk, liquid bulk (including fossil-fuel unloading) and general cargo across five operational berths (lengths 113–255 m), with about 30,000 m2 of outdoor storage, and hosts science/government and seasonal commercial fishing vessels. It is the mainland departure point for Relais Nordik's resupply ship Bella Desgagnés serving Anticosti and the Lower North Shore, and historically the terminal for the Rimouski–Forestville ferry.
