The Port of Sheet Harbour is an ice-free, deep-water marine terminal on Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast specializing in bulk, breakbulk, and project cargo. It handles commodities including biomass (wood chips and pellets), aggregates and dry bulk, gypsum, scrap metal/neobulk, pipes and tubulars, and heavy project cargo such as wind turbines, transformers, boilers, and power-generation equipment. The facility features a 152 m wharf with 10.2–11.2 m draft (vessels up to 214 m), about 1,486 m2 of inside storage, 80+ acres of outside laydown, and a MARSEC-certified secured area. It is owned by the provincial Crown corporation Nova Scotia Business Inc. and operated commercially by the Port of Sheet Harbour Agency (POSHA), a QSL company, with QSL providing stevedoring and marine services.
